Why I Like the English Language

ESL or English as Second Language online programs are designed to teach students to write and speak the language, guiding them through each lesson. They give you the opportunity to practice your communication skills in many varied ways and in your own space and time.

A cursory glance reveals that the English section of my bilingual dictionary is considerably larger than the French portion. The enormity of English vocabulary allows for precision and economy of expression. Ideas and instructions can be concisely stated.
When viewing multilingual signs and equipment usage manuals, the English version is frequently shorter than that of many other languages. To take a simple example, in French it takes four words, "sautez a cloche pied," to express what English does in just three letters: "hop."English easily absorbs new words from other languages and cultures.

The so-called "language of Shakespeare" has contributed much literature and poetry to the world, plus other beautiful expressions of thoughts through the abstraction of words.
As someone who writes stories for children, I'm also fond of simple jingles and fun forms such as Mother Goose rhymes.Now that I'm an English teacher, I try to unlock many of the mysteries of the English language for students who have other languages as their mother tongues.

The Victorians did not encourage education among the working
masses. They were employed in dreadful conditions in dangerous
factories, on low wages on the farms of big landowners and in
virtual servitude in domestic service. Added to this there was
the constant demand to fill the ranks of the army and navy to
maintain the largest empire in the world. In 1870 an Education
Act was passed allowing all children between 5 and 10 to go to
school. However, as their parents had to pay a small fee, most
children did not attend. Only in 1891 when education was made
free for children under 10 did the majority go to school. Even
then many did not, as their parents were poor and they preferred
to send them to work to earn income for the family.

English Democratic Party was first formed in 1998 by Robin Tilbrook. Responding to the calls of assignment of power in Wales and Scotland, Tilbrook formed and named the party as the English National Party. This party was actually a reformation of what was formed in 1960. However, since the older party became dysfunctional due to corruption and unfavorable circumstances, the need to restore its glory was necessitated. Fortunately, Tilbrook�s party included members from the pressure group of Campaign for an English Parliament. The Campaign party was entitled to lobby in favor of the devolved English Parliament. English Democracy was launched through the promotion of this party in the month of September, 2002.

A good ESL program works by integrating information with the language. It immediately immerses a student in a contextual situation, where the words are not taught but actually used. The student is then expected to �connect the dots� between the words and the situation they are used in.
This is much like how a baby learns language, wherein the child is not taught the language word for word but simply picks them up as their parents use it on a day to day basis.�

This is precisely the problem. On the one hand we have an elite
who enjoy these cultural pursuits, and on the other the vast
majority who are glued to their televisions watching �I'm a
Celebrity' or soap operas such as �Eastenders'. However, as
an historian I am sure Sir Roy is aware of the origin of this
problem in the educational system at the end of the Victorian
period.

Grammar Section
This section involves taking out a section of the video appropriate to the student�s level of knowledge, while a �Grammar Coach� program focuses on the proper use and placing of words in the extracted video segment. The student will then work with two grammar exercises to apply what was taught.

The English Democratic Party merged with several other smaller parties prior to the launching program. In 2004, it made its first big merge with the Reform UK Party, even though the party was a minute splinter group. Finally, the party underwent its final merging activity with the New England Party in the month of February, 2007. English Democracy was thus reinstated after a long period of time. Since this land is dwelt by people who do not mingle into political matters, only a section of the people tends to take politics seriously, only so that it can aid them in their careers.�
