The TOEIC test is becoming more and more popular in South East Asia. Each year, businessmen spend thousands of dollars to prepare for the TOEIC test with the hope of achieving more than 900 points, because they consider this as a key to success in the international business environment. Consequently, studying and preparing for TOEIC is a growing trend for students and employees in South East Asia countries. In Vietnam, TOEIC is being used as a benchmark for graduation at more than 127 universities, colleges, vocational schools, as well as a human resources evaluation tool in more than 350 enterprises.

The ruling was quoted as saying: "Apart from the limited hearsay evidence there was no evidence from the protagonist in this saga, the ETS organisation … The Secretary of State has not discharged the legal burden of establishing that either appellant procured his [English language] certificate by dishonesty."

What is the likely outcome from this remedy?
Over 80-percent of patients report a reduction in back pain following treatment. BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Thousands of Hungarians protested on Saturday against education reforms implemented by Prime Minister Viktor Orban, which critics see as another attempt by the right-wing leader to boost his control over state institutions.
Teachers, whose demands include a sharp reduction in teaching hours and a free choice of textbooks, were joined in the rain outside parliament by other unionized workers including miners and civil servants.
Protesters say the reforms form part of a centralization drive by Orban over the past six years that has brought state media and other public institutions under his government's control.
Singing the national anthem, some protesters shouted "We won't let this happen." Others held banners saying "Don't chase our youth away."

MISKOLC, Hungary (Reuters) - Thousands of Hungarians protested on Wednesday against reforms of the education system by Prime Minister Viktor Orban's center-right government that they consider oppressive and heavy-handed.

The Orban government, in power since 2010, took control of schools from local authorities three years ago and a central body now regulates all aspects of education, down to procuring chalk for rural elementary schools.
It has significantly increased teachers' workload and set a new curriculum using textbooks the critics say contain factual errors and promote very conservative views on issues such as homosexuality.

Especially, we got to exchange with colleges from other countries in the region, who are experienced, enthusiastic and eager to learn. We think that anyone who comes to this workshop will have valuable experiences to bring home. After the course, we hope to create a TOEIC teaching community in the region", said Ms Tran Thi Hieu Thuy, an English teacher from Hanoi National University, one of the Vietnamese attendees of the workshop.

Politics.co.uk says this was used to justify thousands of deportations as the Home Office claimed that everyone who had taken the TOEIC test conducted by ETS had committed fraud. The Financial Times reported that it is not clear how many people were deported, but more than 30,000 test scores were considered suspect.
