It once again affirmed the determination of the school to integrate MOS into the school’s academic disciplines to enhance students’ IT proficiency up to international standards. As shared by the School Management Board, training students was not just limited to satisfying local recruiters but also for a broader ASEAN labor market, which will be integrated soon in 2015.<br><br>The Court held that section 4 of the 1971 Act explicitly provides that the power to give or vary leave shall be exercised by notice in writing. The fact that the Secretary of State may have made the decision to refuse the application on 7 July 2014 was not relevant. What was legally relevant was the date and time of service of the notice.<br><br>The hearsay evidence of Ms Collings and Mr Millington, the two main witnesses relied on by the Secretary of State was inherently limited in that neither of these witnesses possessed any relevant qualifications, credentials or expertise in what is ultimately a scientific field - namely, voice recognition technology and techniques;<br>There was no evidence from ETS;<br>The evidence from expert Dr. Harrison was persuasive and remained unchallenged by the Secretary of State;<br>The Appellant’s themselves were found to be truthful.<br><br>With respect to the no alternative remedy question, Mr. Malik contended that if the section 10 removal decision invalidated the Appellants’ leave, they had no appeal against the refusal to vary their leave. Therefore even if the section 10 notices were successfully challenged in out-of country appeals, the refusal of the applications to vary would still stand unless they were set aside by judicial review proceedings. He argued that there was no difference between an application for a variation of leave and an application for further leave to remain<br><br>Specialists from The Seminar talked about the fierce competition in the current labor market, and in order to get a job, besides professional skills, students should make themselves more bright and shining by soft skills such as English language proficiency and IT literacy. How to master those skills and catch a recruiter’s eye was discussed in detail by Specialists from IIG Vietnam and HR Managers from Manpower and VP Bank. Besides, the students were provided with the most updated recruitment information from VP Bank, during which the recruiter advised that the students should actively add more experience in their CV by applying for internship in companies.<br><br>Test Scores<br>On the TOEFL iBT, the maximum possible score is 120 -- 30 points for each of the four sections. There is no "passing score" and colleges and universities will have their own requirements for admission, which test-takers can find information about through the admissions office. The TOEIC Reading and Listening test gives the test-taker a score of 10 to 990, which corresponds to bands in the Common European Framework measure of English proficiency. A test-taker will receive scores of zero to 200 for the Speaking and Writing Tests separately, again which corresponds to the CEF standards of English-language proficiency measurements.<br><br>The Court of Appeal’s analysis<br>The section 10 question<br>Mr. Malik argued that there was a difference between leave given by the Secretary of State under section 3 of the 1971 Act and leave that was automatically extended under 3C of the same Act. He contended that this was because the Secretary of State in the latter situation was not free to extend or curtail this leave and that Parliament would not have intended the Secretary of State to have the power to invalidate an automatic extension of leave under section 3C through a section 10 removal decision.
