In Mr. Ali’s case, Mr. Malik argued that the refusal to vary leave and the removal decision itself were two distinct decisions and that the first decision made on 7 July 2014, which gave rise to an in-country right of appeal, could not be invalidated by a previous removal decision.

A Home Office spokesperson told the Financial Times: "We are very disappointed by the decision and are awaiting a copy of the full determination to consider next steps including an appeal. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

The students engaging in the Seminar also expressed their dreams as well as thoughts about future competition for a job. P.T, a third year student with Finance major from Thang Long University, told about her personal experience applying for two job posts and got no feedback. T.H, a business administration major student, who had a passion for information technology, asked which IT certificate he should get. All the students expressed their interests in the recruitment testing process as it comes to that, at several companies, the initial screening on English and IT can be waived if the candidates possess standardized assessment certificates.

The Seminar ended with enjoyment and good impression from the students at Thang Long University. It once again affirmed the determination of the school to integrate MOS into the school’s academic disciplines to enhance students’ IT proficiency up to international standards. As shared by the School Management Board, training students was not just limited to satisfying local recruiters but also for a broader ASEAN labor market, which will be integrated soon in 2015.

"To infer" means to deduce, to derive, to draw conclusions based on facts and reasoning" (not opinions). Inferring is not guessing, though, because you must have facts and reasons to support your answer.

The ruling was quoted as saying: "Apart from the limited hearsay evidence there was no evidence from the protagonist in this saga, the ETS organisation … The Secretary of State has not discharged the legal burden of establishing that either appellant procured his [English language] certificate by dishonesty."

The great thing about the TOEIC is that you can take it as many times as you like. Your previous score(s) won’t affect the most recent one. However, it does cost time and money. So, the best plan is to practice taking the exam.

But the conversation summary doesn’t mention the co-workers’ productivity — how much they get done at work. So the choice, while a true statement, isn’t the best possible answer based on the context of the situation.

Once you get comfortable, and can understand conversations on your favorite U.S. TV shows without subtitles, you can move on to listening to an English radio station. This will bring you closer to the real conditions of the listening exam (no images, just audio).

With respect to the ‘worthwhile’ evidence point in Mr. Ali’s case, the Court held that it could not be said that the Secretary of State had no worthwhile evidence to satisfy herself that this was an appropriate case to make a removal direction and that this amounted to a special or exceptional factor justifying judicial review proceedings. Lord Justice Beatson stated that the appeals system "specifically envisages that challenges to the factual accuracy of evidence take place through an out-of country appeal and the information which informed the Secretary of State’s decision as to the deception was put before Mr. Ali, albeit in the text of the refusal decision rather than the removal decision".
